Volunteers in Medicine has some exciting news about our 2025 event. We are pleased to announce that our 2025 VIMY Awards will be held at The Show at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage! And to top off the evening, we are honoring this year’s community VIMY Award, Ernesto C. Rosales!

This year, we are thrilled to honor Ernesto C. Rosales, a lifelong Coachella Valley resident, a funeral and cemetery services professional with over 20 years of experience. He owns a brokerage firm serving Southern California and holds exclusive rights to three Catholic cemeteries in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. A committed community leader, Ernesto serves as Chair of the Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District and has held leadership roles with Ronald McDonald House Charities Inland Empire, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert, and the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce. He and his family are dedicated philanthropists, supporting numerous local nonprofits, including Coachella Valley Volunteers in Medicine.

The VIMY Award is a symbol of excellence, recognizing individuals and organizations whose work has significantly improved healthcare access in the Coachella Valley. Past honorees include the Desert Healthcare District & Foundation, Patrick Evans, Howard Lincoln, and Dr. Ronald Hare — all champions of our local healthcare system. This year’s award is a testament to the incredible impact Ernesto Rosales has had on our valley.
